3. Front Cover Analysis: Good Housekeeping



Target Audience:
The target audience for this particular magazine would be middle aged women (40-50), possibly retired as this would give them time to do plenty of the activities mentioned on the front cover of the magazine. It is aimed at more middle class women, who, perhaps have children who have grown up and moved out. I belive that they are middle class as they can afford the £3.40 each time they buy the magazine.

Ideologies:

 Lorraine Kelly is the model on the front cover, and perhaps she is there to model the 'perfect woman'. She is wearing pink, so she looks pretty, attractive and some may even say sexy. The way she is sitting looks sophisticated and maybe weak. According to the front cover of this magazine, the 'perfect woman should like the colour pink, and should be very girly. She should be good at making cakes, looking good, and making the house look good.
